CT Referrals
A CT scan creates detailed images inside the body to help identify the cause of symptoms or investigate possible conditions. It’s a quick and reliable way to gain important medical information.

What’s the service?
CT (Computed Tomography) scans use advanced X-ray technology to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body. They are commonly used to investigate injuries, chest and abdominal symptoms, and a wide range of medical conditions quickly and accurately.
If you need fast answers or more detailed imaging than a standard X-ray can provide, a CT scan can be an important next step in understanding your health.
What’s involved?
Following assessment by your GP, we can arrange a CT referral through our trusted imaging partners at Lyca Health Orpington. During the scan, you’ll lie on a table that moves through the scanner while images are taken from multiple angles. The procedure is fast, painless, and usually completed within minutes. In some cases, contrast dye may be used to improve image quality. A specialist radiologist then reviews the images before results are discussed with you.

Why might I want this?
CT scans are especially useful when rapid, detailed imaging is needed. They can help investigate persistent symptoms, identify injuries, or provide clarity when further diagnostic information is required.
