Skin Health Plan

Come with skin lesions and lumps.
Leave with one clear plan.

Whether you’ve noticed a changing mole, developed a new skin lesion, or have a persistent skin problem that isn’t improving, our Skin Health service provides expert assessment and treatment from GPs with a special interest in skin lesions and minor skin surgery, as well as referral pathways to specialist dermatologists.

From reassurance and monitoring through to minor procedures and laboratory analysis, we aim to provide clear advice, appropriate treatment and continuity where you need it.

Most importantly, we don’t just assess one concern at a time. We take the time to understand the bigger picture, helping you develop a clear plan that works for you.

A different approach to skin health

AA standard appointment often focuses on the single concern that prompted you to book.

Our philosophy is different.

Many patients have several skin lesions, moles or lumps they’ve been meaning to ask about. Others have a lesion that has changed alongside older moles they have never had assessed. Some simply want reassurance that they haven’t overlooked anything.

We encourage patients to bring all of these concerns to one dedicated appointment for a comprehensive assessment.

By understanding the complete picture, we can prioritise treatment appropriately, avoid unnecessary procedures and develop a coordinated plan that makes sense for you.

For £199, you get:

✓ 45-minute specialist consultation
✓ Assessment of skin lesions, lumps, warts, moles and verrucae discussed during your appointment
✓ Dermoscopic examination where clinically appropriate
✓ Review of relevant skin cancer risk factors
✓ Personalised written Skin Plan
✓ Clear recommendations for every concern identified
✓ Transparent treatment quotation where procedures are recommended
✓ Coordination of your ongoing care with dermatologists where appropriate

Your journey with us

Most skin concerns are harmless.
Some require treatment.
A small number need urgent investigation.
Knowing the difference isn’t always straightforward.

Our Skin Health service removes that uncertainty.

Rather than focusing on a single lesion, we provide a comprehensive assessment of your concerns, explain what we’ve found in plain English, and develop a personalised plan to resolve, monitor or investigate everything appropriately. The result is clarity and confidence in what happens next.

Step 1

Comprehensive assessment

Your assessment includes dedicated time to discuss every skin concern you’d like reviewed.

We’ll explore your medical history, relevant family history, previous skin problems, sun exposure and any changes you’ve noticed before examining your skin in detail.

Where appropriate, your GP will use dermoscopy to provide a more detailed assessment of individual lesions.

Step 2

Personalised plan

At the end of your consultation, you’ll receive clear recommendations.

Your clinician will explain:

  • what each lesion or lump is likely to represent
  • whether we recommend treatment
  • whether we recommend monitoring
  • whether you need further investigation
  • whether you could benefit from a referral to a specialist dermatologist

You’ll also receive a written summary of your Skin Plan together with the recommended next steps.

Step 3

Treatment

If treatment is recommended, we’ll develop a complete treatment plan before anything proceeds.

Where possible, procedures can be performed within our own clinic by the same clinician who assessed you.

You’ll receive transparent pricing for the complete treatment plan, together with expected timescales and the option of spreading the cost through monthly payments where appropriate.

Investigations, procedures, histology and external specialist services are only recommended when clinically appropriate and are charged separately.

Step 4

Completion

Our role doesn’t end when a procedure is completed.

We’ll coordinate routine follow-up, explain any laboratory results, ensure your agreed treatment plan has been completed and provide advice on future monitoring where appropriate.

The aim is that every concern you’ve raised reaches a clear conclusion, giving you confidence in your ongoing skin health.

Common Questions

The Skin Health Plan provides a dedicated 45-minute consultation with a GP specialising in skin lesions and lumps. Rather than focusing on one concern, we’ll assess all present lesions you wish to discuss, develop a personalised Skin Health Plan and explain the recommended next steps for each one.

Yes. In fact, we encourage it.

Many patients have several moles, lesions or other skin concerns they’ve been meaning to have assessed. The Skin Health Plan is specifically designed to review them together. For rashes, allergies and other conditions better treated by a specialist dermatologist, we’ll provide a referral to give you the best possible care.

Not necessarily. Many lesions are completely harmless and require no treatment, and some may be best managed through ongoing monitoring. Our aim is to recommend the most appropriate course of action, whether that’s reassurance, monitoring, treatment or further investigation.

Where appropriate, we can perform many procedures within the clinic under local anaesthetic. We’ll explain the procedure, discuss the benefits and risks, provide transparent pricing and coordinate your treatment from beginning to end.

No, your visit stays private.

Information will only be shared with your consent. It is best practice to share information with your NHS GP to maintain a complete health record so we do advise this information is shared.

What we support

Mole Assessment

Most moles are completely harmless, but any new or changing mole deserves appropriate assessment.

We examine moles carefully, considering their appearance, your personal and family history, and any changes you’ve noticed over time. Where appropriate, dermoscopy allows us to examine lesions in greater detail and determine whether reassurance, monitoring or removal is the most appropriate next step.

Skin Lesions and Lumps

We assess a wide range of common skin lesions, including skin tags, seborrhoeic keratoses, lipomas, sebaceous cysts and other benign growths.

Many can be treated safely within our clinic. Others simply require reassurance or monitoring. Our role is to help you understand the difference and make informed decisions about treatment.

Warts and Verrucae

Persistent warts and verrucae can be frustrating, uncomfortable and difficult to treat at home.

We’ll assess the lesion, discuss the treatments available, explain what results you can realistically expect, and develop a plan based on the type, location and severity of the problem.

Minor Skin Surgery

Where appropriate, we perform a range of minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic, including lesion excision, cyst removal and other suitable skin procedures.

If laboratory analysis is required, we’ll arrange histology and explain your results clearly once they become available.

Ongoing Monitoring

Not every skin lesion should be removed.

Some concerns are best monitored over time. If that’s the right approach, we’ll explain why, help you understand what changes to look out for, and recommend when review would be appropriate.

Why patients choose our Skin Health Plan service

Bring us every skin concern that’s worrying you. We’ll take ownership of it until every one has been reassured, monitored, treated, investigated or appropriately referred.
